01Fit

Who this is for.

A good fit if

  • Founders whose cloud bill keeps growing but whose traffic hasn’t
  • Small teams who inherited an account nobody fully understands
  • Agencies hosting several client apps in one account

Common triggers

  • A bill jump after a launch, test or forgotten experiment
  • A developer left and nobody knows what half the resources are
  • You’re wondering whether a simple VPS setup would cost less

Not a fit if

  • You want a guaranteed saving or a percentage promise
  • Your monthly spend is over $20,000 or spread across many business units
  • You need someone to negotiate contracts or reserved pricing with the provider
02Scope

What I do, and what you get.

What I do

  • Read the last 3 months of billing data with a read-only role you create
  • Group every line of spend by service, project and environment
  • Check for idle or oversized servers, unattached disks, old snapshots, forgotten load balancers and IPs, data-transfer costs and logs kept forever
  • Estimate what each item costs per month, from the provider’s own prices
  • Describe what changing each item would take, how risky it is and who could do it
  • Answer follow-up questions by email for 7 days after the report

What you get

  • Spend map: where every dollar went, by service and environment
  • Findings list ranked by monthly cost, each with the effort and risk of changing it
  • A short “quick wins you can do yourself” checklist
  • If relevant, a rough comparison with a simpler setup, clearly marked as an estimate
  • A fixed quote for any changes you want me to make
  • Handover notes

Your part

  • Create a read-only billing and resource role (I send exact steps)
  • Tell me which environments and resources matter to the business
  • Decide which changes to make; I never change or delete anything in this service

Included

  • One cloud account (Starter) or several, up to $20k/month (Standard)
  • 3 months of billing data
  • Written report and fixed quote
  • 7 days of email follow-up
  • The full fee credited toward a follow-on project of $1,000 or more approved within 30 days

Not included

  • Any change to your account
  • Savings guarantees or percentages
  • Contract or pricing negotiation with the provider
  • Tax or accounting advice
  • Security review (see Security Audit)

Not a commitment. I confirm the exact price in a written proposal.

Founding price: 3 of 7 spots left, until Mar 31, 2027 — one-off work, in return for a testimonial. How it works

Prices are in USD, paid by bank transfer against an invoice. Work under $1,000 is paid upfront; larger work is 50% to start and 50% before handover, or monthly milestones. The full fee of this service is credited toward a follow-on project of $1,000 or more that you approve within 30 days. How working together works

Variations

AWS
Cost Explorer and resource inventory through a read-only role.
Google Cloud
Billing reports or BigQuery billing export via a Billing Viewer role.
Azure
Cost Management reader access.
VPS hosts (DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, Hetzner)
Invoice and droplet/server list; usually a sizing and backup review.

05Proof

A new service, done openly.

I have not delivered this exact service for a client before, so there is no case study to point to yet. The approach above is built from parts I have shipped in production — see the case studies — and the fixed price and written scope protect you while it is new.

06FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

How much will I save?

I don’t promise a number. The report estimates each item’s monthly cost from the provider’s own prices; what you actually save depends on which changes you make.

Do you need admin access?

No. Read-only billing and resource access only. I can’t change anything.

Will you tell me to leave AWS?

Only if the numbers and your setup support it, and the report explains the trade-offs. Often the answer is to fix sizing where you are.

Can you make the changes?

Yes, quoted separately after the report. The full fee is credited toward a follow-on project of $1,000 or more approved within 30 days.

Is my billing data safe?

It stays in your account. I read it through the role you create, and you can remove the role when I’m done.

Have you done this before?

This is a new service, so there’s no past cost-review case study yet. I have built software that provisions and manages servers on five clouds, so I know how those bills are built.
