Automated Tests for Your App’s Critical Flows (Playwright, Pest, Go)

I write automated tests for the flows that must never break, such as signup, login, checkout and billing, and run them in your CI on every push. From $780 ($600 founding) for up to 3 flows, in 2–3 weeks. A good first step before an upgrade or refactor. Email your stack and flows to start.

01Fit

Who this is for.

A good fit if

  • Apps with few or no tests where every deploy feels risky
  • Teams about to upgrade Laravel, PHP or Node who want a safety net first
  • Founders whose app breaks in the same places again and again

Common triggers

  • A deploy broke checkout or login and a customer found it first
  • A framework upgrade is coming (Laravel 12 security fixes end 24 Feb 2027; PHP 8.2 reaches end of life 31 Dec 2026)
  • A new developer is joining and nobody knows what’s safe to change

Not a fit if

  • You want 100% coverage or a coverage percentage as the goal
  • You need manual QA or device-lab testing
  • The app is mobile-only
02Scope

What I do, and what you get.

What I do

  • Agree the list of critical flows with you, in plain words
  • Set up a test database and fake data so tests never touch real users
  • Write end-to-end tests (Playwright) for the flows, plus backend tests where they’re faster and steadier
  • Fake third-party services (payments, email, AI APIs) so tests are reliable and free to run
  • Run everything in your CI (GitHub Actions) on every push and pull request
  • Fix flaky tests before handover

What you get

  • A test suite for the agreed flows, running in CI
  • A one-command local run
  • Test data factories and fakes you can reuse
  • A short guide: how to run, add and read the tests
  • Handover notes with gaps I saw but didn’t cover

Your part

  • Repo access and a list of flows in priority order
  • Test-mode keys for payment and email providers
  • Someone to review and merge the pull requests

Included

  • Tests for the agreed flows, CI setup
  • Fakes for third-party APIs
  • Test data setup
  • Flake fixes before handover

Not included

  • Fixing bugs the tests find (reported, quoted)
  • Load or security testing
  • Mobile or native app tests
  • Ongoing test maintenance (Care Plan)

Founding price: 3 of 7 spots left, until Mar 31, 2027 — one-off work, in return for a testimonial. How it works

Prices are in USD, paid by bank transfer against an invoice. Work under $1,000 is paid upfront; larger work is 50% to start and 50% before handover, or monthly milestones. How working together works

Variations

Laravel
Pest feature tests plus Playwright for browser flows.
Nuxt / Vue
Vitest for logic and Playwright end-to-end.
Go / Python APIs
Table-driven Go tests or pytest against a real test database.
Supabase apps
Role-based tests that prove each user sees only their rows.

06FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

Will you hit a coverage number?

No. The goal is that the flows that make you money are checked on every push.

What if tests find bugs?

I report them with steps to reproduce; fixing is a separate quote or an Hours Block.

Will tests slow our CI?

I keep the suite short and parallel, and the handover shows the run time.

Do tests need real payment accounts?

No. Test-mode keys and fakes only.
